Mike Yanguas Díez was born on March 18, 2002, in Motril (Granada, Spain). At just 16 years old, he was already standing out in junior tournaments, and it didn’t take long for him to make the jump to the professional tour.
Yanguas is part of the new generation of players who are redefining Spanish padel. His rise has been meteoric. In 2024, he won his first major international title, and the following year he decided to join forces with Coki Nieto, forming a pair that quickly established itself as one of the most competitive on the circuit.
On court, Mike Yanguas stands out for a technical, intelligent, and balanced style. He plays on the right side, a position he masters thanks to his solid defense, his control from the back of the court, and his ability to construct points with patience. He has managed to evolve toward a more offensive and versatile game, adapting to each partner and to the demands of the professional circuit. Mike is a firm believer in daily hard work, discipline, ambition, and resilience.
